About the movement

Our Story

From a single community spark to a UN-recognized global movement — a chronological journey of impact.

Mission Statement

Empowering the global community to change the world.

Generation Hip Hop is an organization of Hip Hop artists, educators and youth development advocates empowering the global community to collectively change the world through artistic expression, entrepreneurship, and education.

Expanded Mission

A satellite network of non-profits under one Hip Hop brand.

Generation Hip Hop (GHHG) is a global youth empowerment and development program, initiated by the Founder Terence Berry in initial collaboration with the Universal Hip Hop Museum, aligned to the Africa Rising Foundation. Today GHHG works alongside an expanding network of global partners with the aim of establishing satellite non-profit organizations under one Hip Hop brand across the world.

To date, 70 countries have been enlisted and ambassadors are nominating their committees — comprised of influential artists, performers, and intellectuals from every element of Hip Hop, all committed to the aims of GHH.

Youth today especially need empowerment through something they can relate to and believe in. GHH harnesses the progressive talent of otherwise disenfranchised youth into a collective, dynamic and productive international program guided by a central committee — designing community arts workshops, youth empowerment initiatives, cooperative events, conflict resolution programs, hunger alleviation, edutainment and refugee assistance.

GHH facilitates sustainable, vital and transparent CSI initiatives. Blue-chip and corporate entities partner globally through specifically initiated Cause Related Marketing (CRM) programs — perpetuating the HHM & GCO mandate of Peace, Unity and Love through our initiatives and international network.
